Is There Any Treatment to Remit Itching Skin with CKD2017-04-01 13:27
Good morning, Sir. I have been on CKD for five years. Six months ago, I started dialysis. Now, I am suffering from the Itching skin. Is itching skin caused by dialysis? What treatment can alleviate itching skin?
Generally speaking, itching skin is a side effect of dialysis. Besides, CKD patients will have itching skin as the excess phosphorus and toxins which should be expelled from body by the kidney are gathered on the skin. Hence, we can not affirm whether CKD patients have itching skin due to dialysis. But, it is sure that the itching skin will be remitted if the kidney is able to work well again.
So, what treatment can help the patients recover the kidney?
Kidney Transplant. It is the common way to treat serious patients. Through an operation, the damaged kidney will be replaced with the marching and healthy one from the donor. Later, the patients must take anti-rejection drugs in the rest of their life.
Medicated Bath. During the treatment, the patients will bath their whole body or local of the body with the essence abstacted from Chinese medicines. Which style and medicines will be used to patients is based on the patients’ illness conditions. So that, it is an effective, handier and safer way to treat patients by excluding the unwanted things and recovering the renal function.
Hot Compress Therapy. While the patients’ Shenshu area is hot pressed with the herbs, the blood vessels will be enlarged, the blood stasis will be dissolved, the blood circulation will be promoted and the kidney self-healing ability will be enhanced. In the new internal surrounding, the baleful matters will be eliminated and the kidney will begin to repair. It is a better remedy to treat patients with less adverse reactions.
When the kidney is restored, the unnecessary things will be cleaned up. Also, there is no need of a dialysis. And thus, the itching skin will fade away. The patients will live a normal life.
